Throughout your day there will be many outside distractions and ongoing problems and issues that you still have not dealt with that can cause you to go internal which take your awareness off the present moment and generate stress and fear.
The key to staying in the peace of the present is to prevent any negative momentum from taking hold and gathering pace.
To do this require being mindful to any bad feeling or negative thoughts which will try and bring you back inside your head causing more conflict of the mind and disruption to the bodies harmony, free flowing energy and balance.

There will be times when you will have to venture into the future, but this should be positive orientated because positive and constructive planning for tomorrow and the future is necessary at times.
If you find yourself worrying about the future or if you begin to feel regret or allow the past to influence you, then you need to just let those thoughts go and bring your attention back into the now.
Because worrying and negative thinking is worse than a worthless waste of time unless it can help you to come up with a solution to your problems which it seldom does, and it can be damaging to your health and well-being.
The holy grail to a happy and successful life is to keep as relaxed as possible in all situations and being present in the here and now is one of the best ways to keep your mind and body calm and relaxed.
When we become outwardly focused on our surroundings and the task we are doing, we will automatically enter the now, this will put you in alignment where you will experience that flow like state. When your in the now everything will start to click and you will become the true authentic you.

If you have been stuck in a negative mindset for quite some time, then it can be challenging to develop a present moment mindset because your old patterns of negative thinking will try and pull you back into a negative feeling state, so it's important that you keep' practicing and working at it.
You're not going to go from thinking mainly negative thoughts to having a positive and present mindset in a week, but if you continue to work at it, then your efforts will be worth it and after practicing and being mindful for a month or two it will become more natural, automatic and habitual.
With all that's going on in your life and around you there are going to be many daily distractions and things that annoy and frustrate you, the thing to remember is that you cannot always control people, events and situations.
However, you do have the freedom to choose the way you wish to respond and bare in mind it is far better to feel

Try not to get in a battle and struggle with your thoughts and feelings, people try to stop, control or deal with their thoughts and feelings, but that just drains your energy and leaves you feeling more frustrated and disempowered.
It is far better to accept that you will have unwanted thoughts and unpleasant feelings at times, but if you practice letting these thoughts freely come and go whilst you stay calm and externally focused. then you will have far less emotional arousal and stress and in time you will have less of those negative and unwanted thoughts.

- Read a book or browse the internet
- Go for walks and observe nature or your surroundings, look at the trees, plants, clouds, wildlife and the landscape
- Take your attention of yourself and listen to what others are saying
- Meditate, because this is a great way to dump your troubles and bring you back into the now
- Visit or phone your family and friends
- Take up new hobbies and interests
- Observe, more and think less
- Start a blog or website or take part in social media sites
- Watch a movie or your favourite TV programs
- Talk to people and socialize more
Many people are living their life in survival mode where they are constantly worrying about the future and things going wrong, which causes them to endless and needless stress and anxiety or their past bad experiences will fuel a barrage of fearful and unwanted troublesome thoughts.
