This does not mean that the programs are no good, most diet programs will yield positive results if you follow them.

But, the main reason why most people fail to lose weight, is largely due, to the fact that they don't stick at it for long enough.

There could be several reasons for this, including. They expect instant results and when they don't get the results they want, they give up or they have a setback which leaves them feeling disheartened..

One of the biggest causes of failures is because they have not addressed the emotional issues that caused them to comfort or binge eat in the first place.

Other things that have been linked with weight gain are hormone imbalance or inflammation.

Inflammation is often caused by eating certain foods or they have an  intolerance to some foods.

It may be better, not to set weight loss targets, deadlines or focus on the end outcome, as that can lead to frustration and disappointment, if you do not meet your desired weight as fast as you would like.

If things have not been working for you. Then it might be a good idea, to focus only on the process, and concentrating more on. Resolving your emotional eating and making the necessary lifestyle changes.

Because, you have not got to worry too much about your weight. Because, if you get your emotional issues sorted and you make the necessary healthy lifestyle changes, then your weight will take care of itself.

Losing weight is not easy. It takes commitment, the right mindset and persistence.

You have to decide, whether you want to be, happier, healthier, slimmer and feel more confident.

Or if you want to put your health and mobility at risk.

If you suffer from emotional eating or emotional issues, then you may find that you need to fix your emotional issues and insecurities, as well as sticking to a healthy diet and lifestyle.

If you're like many people. You have probably already considered or even tried, to stick to eating eating healthy foods.

However, sometimes, the temptation to eat junk or unhealthy foods can be too overpowering at times, and before you know it, you find yourself giving in and you end up eating those unhealthy food choices again.

This can leave you feeling guilty and bad, for eating those weight, gaining foods, that you swore you would not eat, and because you end up feeling bad.

You may even be self critical or hard on yourself, which can leave you feeling weak. All of which can chip away at your self esteem.

These bad feelings of guilt can result in more emotional eating, which leads to eating more of the wrong foods, which soon becomes a vicious cycle, that be can hard to break.

If you think that you're an emotional eater, or you feel trapped in a vicious cycle. Then there is a weight loss program called.

Perfect Weight Forever, that can help you overcome your emotional eating, free you from your old eating habits and negative cycles, so you can lose the weight and keep it off for good.

Eat for health reasons, not for convenience

See your weight loss campaign, more of a journey, to becoming a slimmer and healthier you.

The hardest part is motivating yourself, and then sustaining that motivation.

Because losing weight and then sustaining your new healthy and ideal weight, requires making your new healthy lifestyle habits, and then sticking with them.

So, rather than just going on a diet for a set amount of time.

A better option would probably be, start to implement your new positive, healthy habits and rituals into your daily routine, and then totally, make them a part of your life and a way of life.  Be determined to stick to your new strict healthy regime.

Depending on how much weight you intend to lose. You are going to face challenges, and there is always a risk of falling back into your old bad eating and lifestyle habits.

Take small steps, and make each step, a better step.

To begin with, you may find yourself in battle with food. Try, to change the relationship you have with food.

Many people who are overweight, eat for convenience, rather than for good health and nutrition.

This is fine, now and again, but when it becomes a way of living, at some point your body is going to suffer and, if you're not careful, the weight will pile on.

In the end, everything becomes all about convenience, at this is what you need to start to become aware of. Try to think about, what you're eating, and remind yourself, why you're eating it.

Another good tip, is to get rid or hide away your scales. Because there is no reason to weigh yourself every day, as this can leave you feeling defeated and disheartened.

For one reason or another, our weight will fluctuate, from day to day, to a small degree.

The secret is to start to make small healthier changes. Because, when you make and implement small changes, they can make a huge difference over a period of a few months.

By introducing and sticking to your new positive and healthy lifestyle changes and healthy eating habits, you will soon begin to visibly see the weight drop off, without feeling the need to weigh yourself all the time.

Motivating yourself to lose weight

There are various ways of motivating yourself to lose weight.

Although it is well documented about all the health risk of being overweight and we all know, there are many of them.

And you can use, the health dangers as your motivation, especially if you know of people who have suffered bad health or even premature death, because of the weight related health issues.

You don't really want to dwell on the negative, and probably a much better way to motivate and inspire you, is to focus on all the many positive benefits that you will gain.

So rather than focusing on the health problems of being overweight, focus on, wanting to live a long, happy and healthy life.

Some of the positive benefits, to inspire you, could be

  1. You will look great, slimmer and healthier
  2. You will feel better and healthier
  3. You will be able to fit into, smaller and more fashionable clothes
  4. Your self confidence in yourself will increase
  5. You will spend less on food, leaving you more money to buy and do the things you want
  6. You will be able to move quicker and easier, and stand for longer

Make it your intention, that you're going to get what you want and what is suitable for you, and don't allow the old negative you, to ruin or sabotage your efforts.

Imagine how amazing you're going to look and how great you're going to feel.

Another way to motivate you is by, picturing and seeing the new future slim and healthy you. As you will want your mind to begin working for you, instead of against you

  1. Picture yourself slim and toned
  2. Picture yourself looking healthy
  3. Picture yourself wearing trendy fashionable clothes

Weight loss is a result of positive action. To motivate yourself to take the necessary positive action, you need to create some positive benefits, to why you should take that action.

One of the best ways to motivate you, is to create a new slim, radiant and healthy future vision of you.

If at any times you're tempted or you notice yourself slipping back into your old bad habits. Think about how far you have come and all the hard work and effort you have put in so far.

Remind yourself often. When you change the way you're living and what you eat, what is the result?

A better and healthier you, a slimmer, fitter you, and a better way of living.

But most importantly. You will significantly increase the chances of you living longer, and being able to stay mobile and active, right into your later years.

Reducing your stress and resolving your emotional issues

Your minds primary job is to try and push you to move you away from pain and drive you towards doing and engaging in things that bring you pleasure.

However, for those people who are overweight this, the age old evolutionary process of the brain, can severely back fire.

This is exactly what happens in the case of emotional eating. People who are overweight, tend to eat to help them deal with a personal problem or a bad or stressful day.

This happens because, their minds have learned to come to associate certain foods, usually the higher, in sugar content foods and snacks, that taste nice, with pleasure.

Therefore, because your mind learns to associate sugary or sweet tasting foods with pleasure, when you're feeling stressed or emotionally overwhelmed.

Your brain will use feelings and compulsions, to try and push you into eating those sugary foods or treats, to bring you feelings of pleasure.

To combat this, it is a good idea to find better ways to reduce your stress and manage your emotions.

During your journey you will probably have highs and lows, as you progress and you start to see the positive results on fold before your eyes, you will begin to have less bad days and more good days.

If you're having a bad day, rather letting your mind wander on to negative thoughts and things, try and keep upbeat, positive and optimistic.

Be careful not to allow your mind, to cause you to feel frustrated or disappointed. Focus on, how well you've done and how good you're going to to look and feel.

Make your healthy foods look and taste great

Rather than starving yourself and leaving yourself feeling hungry.

Focus more on portion control and nutrition. If you're feeling hungry, then it is a sign that you need food and nutrition, just as you need a water, when you feel thirsty.

When you feel hungry, instead of trying to battle with your natural desire to eat.

Try replacing the unhealthy foods with healthier options.

To begin with, eating healthy can feel not very appealing to some.

The truth is, eating healthy, nutritious  foods, is a basic necessity and requirement of your body.

Avoid late night snacking. If you have to eat in the evening, try fruit options, or things like celery or carrot sticks.

That way, you will still satisfy your hunger, but you will  be eating low sugar, low calories rich in nutrition foods and healthier options.

Many people are not very keen on the taste of healthier foods. But, these days there is a much better range, of tasty, but healthier options.

With a bit of research, experimenting and reading. You can start to make and create your own tasty but healthy meals.

Add some colorful vegetables, fruits and berries, to make your meals look more pleasing to your eye, and learn how to turn bland foods, into tastier ones.

You can also use colored plates, to add a bit more visionary appeal, to your healthy meals.

Inflammation and weight gain

Sometimes you can start off well, and see some good steady results, then you can hit a plateau, where the rate of weight loss slows down, or you even reach a point, where you have virtually stopped, losing weight.

This is where, even though you're doing everything right, you hit a point, where you seem to struggle to get past or make any more weight loss gains.

According to some of the leading experts in this field, including Dr Mark Hyman MD.

There could be a number of very good reasons, for why this happens. Some of the reason, could be.

  • Inflammation in the body
  • A nutritional imbalance or deficiency
  • Imbalance in the gut

More and more information is coming out about the link between inflammation in the body, especially the gut and weight gain.

Many experts are suggesting going on about a seven to ten day detox diet, to rid your body of all that harmful inflammation and restore balance back to your gut.

The green smoothie detox diet and feel good weight loss plan, is a great way to kick start your weight loss plan.

Start the off, with a healthy breakfast

Be aware that it does not matter if you fail several times because as long as you are determined you will find the successful formula that suits you in the end, sometimes failure is just an opportunity to try a different approach.

Because there are a lot of things to consider, it may be advisable for you to visit your doctor or dietician first just to seek their professional advice and expertise.

Some people recommend you to skip breakfast because they believe by doing this it will encourage your body to burn up fat faster.

However, this is not always a good idea and it is not true because all that it will do is it will leave you feeling hungry later on.

Because you will miss out on the chance to start the day off with a healthy and filling breakfast which will cause you to end up consuming more unhealthy food later on in the day.

Research has revealed that people who start the day off eating two boiled eggs actually said they felt much less hungry around lunch time leading to them more likely to consume less food.

Although it can help to have a filling breakfast, it is still important to eat a healthy breakfast, otherwise it will defeat the object.

Any type of protein consumed for breakfast like yogurt and fruit, omelettes, boiled egg on toast, oily fish such as salmon or mackerel or muesli with fruit and nuts can contribute to help with losing weight.

Statistically, thinner people eat a healthy breakfast while overweight people actually tend to miss out on their breakfast.

Plus by starting the day off with a healthy breakfast you're less likely to binge eat later on at night and you will have a better chance of burning off the calories than you would eating late at night just to top up your blood sugar cravings.

If you can train yourself, to try not to eat too much, after your tea time meal. Then, you will wake up feeling hungry, so you will find it easier to eat your healthy breakfast alternative.

Enjoy your journey to becoming that thinner you, if you make losing weight a laborious task and you're not inspired about doing, then you will run the risk of becoming frustrated, unmotivated and eventually this can lead you to give up.

Avoid Weekend Binge Eating

Another common mistake made is some are under the mis-conception that if you eat a healthy diet in the week you are allowed to binge eat at the weekends eating anything you want.

There are some diets that allow you to eat the foods you like on a weekend, which is OK so long as you don't do it to the point of excessive eating.

Although there is no harm in eating the foods you like, it can be a good idea to a degree because it will stop you craving for them.

But is it is not recommended that you eat well in the week, but go mad at the weekend, the ideal scenario is to eat some of the foods you like in moderation along with the healthier foods rather than keep switching from eating healthy and less in the week than overindulging in junk food come the weekend.

If you do have some junk food on the weekend do not feel bad about this, you should indulge in a few eating pleasures, just resort back to the healthier food come the next meal.

The big mistake most people make is they have high calorie meal so they convince themselves they might as well eat junk food for the rest of the weekend and start again on Monday morning.
